What a fantastic mission
statement this is , and for 15 years, that's exactly the standard that the Greensboro
All Star Cheerleaders (GAC) have been striving for . Little did they know that
their fame would one day see their very own Senior Elite and coaches starring
as cheerleaders in a locally produced feature film, Home of the Giants, starring
no less than oscar nominated Haley Joel Osment .

Amy Tyler was contacted by the the SymPics International, Inc, producers of Home

girls picked from the elite team were involved in approximately 12 long hour days
of filming over 4 weekends in September 2005 , and some 2-4 days during school
as well. They were divided into 3 cheerleading teams , the cheerleading team for
the Giants , and also the cheerleading teams for the 2 opposing teams the Giants
play in the final games of the movie, the Eagles and the Devils.

Lori , a volunteer mom who also
helps to run the GAC's official
website , had this
to say about the cheerleaders' involvement in Home of the
Giants , " The girls had a total blast! The all night
shoots at Wendy's with the cheerleaders were so exciting.
I really felt for the actors and the time they put into it,
Haley Joel Osment and Ryan Merriman treated the girls so well
and were so down to earth. Everyone working on the film treated
the extras and others so great! "

Even Lori's son had a part to play in
this heartwarming film . 10 year old Jes was hired as an extra and was asked to
walk on a scene as an admiring fan of Matt's! When shooting of the scene was completed
, Haley Joel Osment and Ryan Merrimen were nice enough to take a picture with
Jes who dreams of being a director and actor himself!

known.... that they are just down to earth , all round great guys in real life
