From Winston-Salem
is first in with her report on the Home of the Giants additional shoot on 22nd
February 2006 at the Lawrence Joel Veteran's Memorial Coliseum
in Winston-Salem, NC , during halftime of the Wake Forest basketball game
. Thanks for the great report, Sarah ! | First
off I would just like to say thank you so much for all of the information on the
upcoming movie, Home of the Giants! I live in Winston-Salem and I am a HUGE Haley
Joel Osment fan, so you could imagine how excited I was when I found out about
the movie. I always like to check on the web site
to see updates and notices on the movie, so when I read about the additional shoot
I immediately asked my dad if he would take me. Being a huge Wake-Forest fan as
well, he agreed and we went. Of course,
the only reason I wanted to go to the game in the first place was to see the additional
shoot, although I knew Haley would not be there.
So during half time, they asked for us to remain seated. (I was up above on the
second level, and could not see very well, unfortunately) but they asked us to
chant some cheers with the 'giants' cheerleaders, and they had some college students
wearing blue T-shirts. (because the team's colors and yellow and blue- and since
Wake-Forest fans were wearing yellow, they just needed some blue) Everyone began
jumping up and down wanting to be on camera and they filmed some team entrance
scenes. It was all very exciting, especially since I had come just for that. In
this picture, you can see how they put in extras with blue shirts, to mix in with
the wake forest students with the yellow shirts ... |
And
when they introduced the movie, they mentioned it starred Haley Joel Osment and
I heard a few screams. It was sort of neat to hear fellow Haley fans!
It only lasted a few minutes, and I couldn't really get that many pictures, but
my friend and I screamed at the top of our lungs when they told us to.
They said that if more people stayed after the game, then they would shoot them
for extra shots, sadly I had to leave before the ending - which was very disappointing.
So thank you again so much for all the
updates and information! I always love checking back to see what new has come
up. Thanks Again, Sarah From Winston-Salem Here
you can see the actual 'giant's' team . Sarah had her camera on the farthest zoom-
so you couldn't really see their faces ... |
