! More
about the "Win-State" Cakes | Jennifer
shares these interesting anecdotes about the cakes :
" I made two
cakes in total, both identical, and both milk chocolate cake with gold buttercream
icing. I'm not sure what they weighed, but they were 16 inches in diameter, and
4 inches high, so you know they weren't light. I had bought a new stove that spring,
and these were the first large cakes being baked in that oven. I quickly found
out that the oven is only 15 inches deep, and ended up having to bungee cord the
oven door so it would stay closed. I guess I should have measured first! I'm not
sure if the cast got to chow down after filming. It would be a shame if they didn't
because together, the cakes fed 154 people. I was told by the "prop guy" to decorate
the cakes so they would look "as if they were home-made." |
