will be screening at the 2008
Palm Beach Film Festival which will be held from April 10th to 17th 2008.
No details or screening dates are available at this present time, but we will
bring you the very latest news as soon as we hear about it.

RATIO : Director Rusty Gorman chose to film Home
of the Giants in an aspect ratio of 1.85:1 ( instead of 2.33 :1 which is also
called wide-screen ) because basketball is a vertical game and he did not want
to stretch the frame too far horizontally .
We
have seen 4 different runtimes so far: 92 minutes (variety.com) 101 minutes
(hollywoodreporter) 102 minutes (CFF) 104 minutes (HFF)

wonder which is the real one.

As confirmed by director Rusty Gorman and editor Dan Schalk, the correct ( and
official ) runtime for Home of the Giants is 104 minutes . It looks
like the recently concluded Heartland Film Festival is the only one to have gotten
the runtime for Home of the Giants correct !

of the Giants Director, Rusty Gorman, was present at the screenings of the
film on 12th and 14th October at the Chicago International Film Festival and participated
in a Question and Answer Session immediately after both screenings of the film.
The
Q&A went really well . A lot of people stayed and asked a variety of insightful
questions. In fact, the festival organisers had to come in and wrap it up in both
cases because it was running too long. There was a lot of positive interest in
the film. In the meantime, reviews of the film have been published in the Chicagoist

latest press release from the Heartland Film Festival has exciting news

Film Festival which runs from October 18th to 26th 2007. Director Rusty Gorman
will be attending the festival the weekend of October 20th. Both Haley Joel Osment

Haley to release it, but as you can imagine, Haley has been extremely busy the
past few weeks. Today, he started his sophomore year back at NYU, and is busy

Hi everyone ! I'm just popping my head out to catch a breather! I have been holed
up all week just listening to Haley's interview over and over again while trying
to transcribe it, and I'll tell you that truly, this interview is worth waiting
for ! Haley gave us one incredible, simply jaw-dropping interview, and it's taking
me a long time to transcribe because his responses were just so rich and detailed.
There's just no way that I can hurry the transcript, because I want to get it
out to you accurately, so do be patient.

In exactly 2 hours' time, the Home of the Giants Tribute Site will be talking
one on one with none other than Haley Joel Osment in an exclusive interview
about Home of the Giants. It is going to be one great interview, I assure
you of that, and we hope to bring you the full transcript of our interview with
Haley within 2 weeks. In other news, Home of the Giants was screened in
Chicago last Thursday 12th July 2007 before a private audience, the occasion graced
by director Rusty Gorman, Haley Joel Osment, Ryan Merriman and his mother Nona
Merriman. The screening went well, and garnered a lot of enthusiastic responses.
People really responded positively to the film. One of those people was Tony Schor,

Jerald Stuart. Do note that at the time of writing, an authorised movie poster

that will be used for the final marketing of the film have not been locked down.

Gala entitled "Making Magic Happen" on June 6th 2007. One
of their special guests was Haley Joel Osment, who spoke to a reporter about what

about his transition from child acting to more adult roles, and about his role

we say
goodbye to our familiar banner as we replace it with a newer, edgier one which
is more reflective of what the film is all about . When the following banner was
designed about a year and a half ago, details about what Home of the Giants
was about was still extremely sketchy , and this banner which had an upbeat look
was designed for the Tribute site.
With
the May 9th prerelease screening of Home of the Giants, it was obvious
that a new banner needed to be designed, one that is better representative of
the film. As the film finds a distributor and the final artwork and marketing
of the film worked out, this new banner will also make way for one that will be
in line with the final approved movie poster. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy
the new look of our Tribute Site banner !

great news ! I've just heard from someone whom I sent "on assignment"
to the prerelease screening of Home of the Giants on May 9th , and he has
managed to secure an exclusive 2 minute video interview with none other than Haley
Joel Osment for our Tribute site ! We are now doing our best to get the video
interview cleared and approved by SymPics and Haley's agent before releasing it
right here on the Tribute site ! I've just seen the video footage, and it totally
floored me. Haley up close and in real life looks absolutely amazing ! He was
very friendly and candid during the interview, and spoke in quite detail about
his character Gar in Home of the Giants, and about his filming experience
with Ryan Merriman. It is a great video interview, and I believe the first one
that Haley has given specifically regarding his role in Home of the Giants
! It will take some time to get the video approved, but once it is , you will
all see it first right here on the Home of the Giants Tribute Site ! Watch

York and his wife Elizabeth had been extras during the filming of Home of the
Giants, and they managed to get seats to the prerelease screening of the film
through this Tribute site. Chris writes :
"My
wife and I went to the movie and had a great time. I really think that everyone
will enjoy this movie. We weren't really sure what the movie was about for a long
time and now that we have seen it, it was slightly different than what we were
expecting. It was better!!! The meet and greet was fun, but our camera's battery
died when we were taking pictures outside of the Zanuck theater. Being on the
VIP list was cool. We felt like big timers for a short time. We did get to meet
Haley and Ryan , but it was just a "hello" "nice to meet you" kind of thing. They
were nice though. All in all, it was a great experience and we look forward to
buying it on DVD. We saw ourselves in the movie and we just think that is the
coolest... lol. " - Chris York

but sweet capsule review of Home of the Giants ! She says ...
"So,
the movie... Well, I said I wouldn't give spoilers, but it was really good. Very
well acted, well paced, well plotted. I thought they captured the atmosphere of
a small Indiana town well. John ( my husband ) , who is a bug on sports movies,
said it's right up there with the best of them, and he thinks it will do well
in the market. The only thing I didn't like, honestly, was the way Danielle's
character got short shrift. She didn't have a lot to do. But she did well with
what she did do. "

of the Giants director Rusty Gorman is now in Los Angeles putting the
finishing touches on the film . In the meantime, Spectre
Entertainment Group, Inc. has been tasked to promote the May 9th screening
of Home of the Giants in Los Angeles . Founded in 1997, internationally
known SPECTRE provides independent marketing services nationwide for a
number of clients, including Rockstar Games, United Artists, Hollywood Records,
MySpace.com, Warner Bros, Sony Music Japan, XLR8R magazine and others. There is
no doubt that the May 9th screening of Home of the Giants will be professionally
promoted, and will surely make an impact on everyone on the exclusive list of
invited guests . In other exciting news , we are standing by to bring you the

is definitely the BEST NEWS in a long time ! I am now able to release
this information ..... in his email to me, Home of the Giants director
Rusty Gorman said that the film should be completed by 4th May 2007
, in time for the first scheduled screening of the completed film that
will take place on May 9th 2007 at the Zanuck Theater in Los Angeles .

and more great news ! I have been in touch with Home of the Giants director
Rusty Gorman , and I have got information not only on the expected date
of completion of the film , but also the date and venue of the FIRST screening
of the completed film ! I don't have clearance yet to release the exact dates
, but I think everyone will be delighted to know that the next 2 weeks will be
very, very busy but exciting weeks for Rusty Gorman and his post production crew
! My interview with Mr Gorman is tentatively scheduled for the week of May 14th
2007 , after the screening of the completed film for the studio

Kimbrough, Band Director of the PAGE HIGH SCHOOL BAND sent us this
truly beautiful picture of the band, with Haley Joel Osment and Ryan
Merriman . Ed writes :
Members
of the Page High School Band, from Greensboro, North Carolina participated
in Home of the Giants as the pep band for the Giants and the Muncie Red
Devils. About forty students from the Page High School Band participated
in about seven days of filming, serving as extras in several scenes including
those from the pep rally and basketball games. We hope to hear our very own fight
song, "Hail to the Buccaneers" during the movie. Haley Joel Osment
and Ryan Merriman were kind to pose in a picture with band members.
We have a huge autographed copy of that photo hanging prominently in the front
of our band room. We all look forward to the release of Home of the Giants
with great anticipation!

that sure was great of you and your band to share this wonderful picture with

March 2007: Our
fans never fail to delight and surprise us with anecdotes from the set of Home
of the Giants ! Lynn
Murray and her daughter had something really interesting to say about the
Home of the Giants shoot at the Winston
Salem Coliseum, in this email sent in on the 18th of March 2007 ...
My
daughter and I were extras in the Winston Salem coliseum. It was so much
fun cheering when they said to cheer and being disappointed when they said be
disappointed. The dummies really surprised me. Lots and lots of dummies,
and I'm not talking about the actors or the production crew. We were around
for one of the later scenes where the bad guy came, he was taken away and
everyone rushed the court. Thanks for the opportunity. Let me know
if you need extras in the area for another movie.

to everyone for all your support for this film. As far as I am aware, Home
of the Giants is still having post production and sound work done , but as
soon as I am able to confirm that the film is completed, I'll let you all know
! To tide you over till then, here is a higher resolution version of a still from

February 2007: As
another sure sign that Home of the Giants
is nearing completion, we are now able to
confirm some of the production
credits for the film , and are working on confirming the rest . The
next few months are going to be really exciting !

Ryan Merriman has written a GREAT report about Home of the Giants , and
on what you can expect from the film . He writes " The film looks and sounds
amazing. All of the performances are great, and the story is really gripping,

have some good news for you all ! Home of the
Giants is in the final
stages of post production work this week, mainly sound mixing , and it is probably
safe to say that all post production work should be wrapped up well
before the end of March 2007 , so happily, there is light at the end of the tunnel
. There are also some other exciting developments as well which I am not at liberty
to tell you about at this present time, suffice to say that it bodes well for
the film . Thank you all for your support and patience , and keep checking back
